About the Recipe
This simple Caprese toast is one of my favorite ways to enjoy a slice of fresh sourdough. It’s quick, unfussy, and lets good bread do most of the work — perfect for lunch, a light dinner, or an easy appetizer.

Ingredients
1 slice Leaven Heaven artisan sourdough boule
2–3 slices ripe tomato
2–3 slices fresh mozzarella
Fresh basil leaves
Balsamic glaze
Olive oil (optional)
Salt & freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Preparation
Toast the sourdough slice until golden and crisp on the edges.
Layer tomato slices evenly across the toast.
Place mozzarella slices on top of the tomatoes.
Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze.
Finish with fresh basil leaves, a pinch of salt, and cracked pepper.
Optional: drizzle with olive oil and serve immediately.
